Sonia Laudet and Véronique met ten years ago on the Côte Landaise.
Sonia has since set up her studio in Bayonne, where she imagines, designs and brings to life fashion and decorative pieces, giving a second life to the materials she uses.
We've already shared a little of Véronique's background with you in one of our previous articles, which you can find at >here<.
We'd been wanting to give a second life to the scraps of knitwear we cut from our baby carrier patterns for some time. Véronique has always followed Sonia's work and contacted her to see if she would be interested in collaborating on this project.
Sonia, as a young mother, had also followed the development of Mama Hangs and was immediately won over by the idea of the project, which embraced her vision and her world.
Sonia began by studying our scraps, so that she could plan and imagine a pattern to fit them, large enough yet aesthetically pleasing.
She proposed a number of design options that we liked immediately. A month later, we had our first production run, and we're delighted to be able to offer you these blankets for your babies.
The outside of our baby blankets is made from our own scraps of GOTS-certified organic cotton. The inside is made from recycled polyester.
These exclusive pieces are made in France.
